1942 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL CABRIOLET V12

Classic Car Club of America "First Prize Winner" National Competition

The 1942 Lincoln Continental Convertible offered here is a remarkable car and drives so well, you could use it as a daily driver. Not only is it one of just 136 examples built before World War II, it was believed to have been delivered new, to be the personal car of its creator, Edsel Ford. Additionally, it is believed that this Continental was the very last new car owned by Edsel before his untimely passing. Older restoration but when done the quality of the restoration of this Continental Convertible was excellent and was awarded with a Classic Car Club of America "First Prize Winner" at the National Competition. It still wears the winning badge today. The 1942 version of the Continental was a re-do of the body of the '40 & '41 car to 'modernize' it with more and heavier chrome, flattening the fenders and squaring the rear of the car. The '42 is an elegant car with its door pushes, bake-a-light interior knobs, and the first with vacuum powered windows and over-drive. This car is a delight to drive with the top up or down. Everything is in pristine working condition and she is absolutely breathtaking in person.

Factory vacuum power windows and factory automatic power convertible top works effortlessly!
